It is a dish consisting of french fries topped with fresh cheese curd, covered with brown gravy. Poutine is Acadian slang for mushy mess and is best described as a heart attack in a bowl.

I wouldn’t expect Canada to have extremely exotic foods. One time I was in Canada and this huge fair was going on called “Stampede”. It had the best mini-doughnuts.
