Fiji Islands

What sport is most popular in New Zealand?
The national obsession is rugby.

What fruit is internationally known and marketed from New Zealand?
kiwi is internationally well known and marketed from New Zealand.

Once known as the Cannibal Isles, because of its ferocious natives, the South Pacific nation of Fiji is comprised of 322 islands, some inhabited but most not. The majority of Fiji is mountainous with several peaks exceeding 3000 ft. Northwest of Fiji's largest island, Viti Levu, is the Yasawa Group, a chain of volcanic islands . The balance of the smaller islands are a mixture of coral and limestone. Barrier reefs ring most islands. The underwater scenery is spectacular and said to be some of the finest, and most accessible, dives in the Pacific .
Set in the tropical South Pacific, Fiji is surely the essence of a tropical island paradise. White sandy beaches, swaying coconut trees, pristine oceans and waterways and a range of things to do and see .Snorkeling over shallow reefs close to shore, diving, which offers a full range of a underwater experiences, riding in a jet boat, trekking in the tropical rain forests, swimming in the crystal clear waters of a rushing river, or even a visit to a sacred cave should all be included on your travel itinerary!

The reason for the white sandy beaches is what?

What are the two major islands?

  2. I know someone who just came back from Fiji and he said it was amazing. I was so jealous when he talked about doing some of the things you mentioned in this blog. I would really enjoy going to place like Fiji and I think that your post really taught me a lot about these islands.
