On the surface it’s materialistic beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. Dubai is a city that virtually invented the ‘shopping festival’ , the simply assuming it was to get people to travel to Dubai and spend money. Countless shopping malls, glamorous hotels, a dizzying array of dining options and hip clubs and bars, it all just seems like too much to do with so little time. Dubai is considered a year- round shoppers' paradise despite the fact that the Dubai Shopping Festival last only a month. The city becomes the most exciting shopping destination in the world.
Burj Khalifa is the highest free standing building in the world. It sits at the center of down town Dubai. Burj Khalifa is the most distinguished address, offering luxury and personalized services to a limited number of privileged businesses and homeowners.
The Palm Islands are also a magnet for Dubai . The islands are currently the largest land reclamation project in the world and resulted in the world's largest artificial islands. Each island enjoys its own unique theme. The Palm Jumeirah is the smallest of these islands. It is a the residential living area, a relaxing retreat and also a leisure destination. The Palm Jebel is an entertainment destination for both adults and children, which accommodates both residents and tourists. Lastly, The Palm Deira has residential property, marinas, shopping malls, sports facilities, and clubs.
Less than what percent of people in Dubai are actually locals?
I think the Burj Khalifa is about 800 meters high. It would truly be extraordinary to travel to Dubai. The city itself is an example of humans technological advances in architecture. It would be amazing walking down the streets of Dubai to see a building that is over two times the size of the tallest building I have ever seen (The Empire State Building, which is 380 meters) right in front of me.
