Canada

Canada offers festival-packed cities like Toronto and Montreal .You can even explore its history in St John’s, Newfoundland (North America’s oldest city). There are several outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, snowboarding over the cloud-poking mountains of Banff & Jasper National Parks or a ride through the wheat-waving prairies of Saskatchewan.
The land plus freshwater area of Canada is 3,855 174 sq miles. In fact, coast to coast, Canada covers five time zones. It is as varied as it is vast. Canada's typical landscapes are the Rocky Mountains with its deep blue lakes and snow capped peaks, the never-ending forests and golden, flowing wheat fields of the prairies. Surprisingly, Canada offers rain forests and deserts, enormous fjords, thriving orchards and vineyards.
While there may be no such thing as a typical Canadian, the 90% of the country's 31 million inhabitants live less than 100 miles of the US border in the south leaving the majority of the 10,000,000 square kilometers of wilderness untouched. The British and French majorities of Canada are surrounded by an ethnic mosaic of Chinese, Ukrainians, Portuguese, Indians, Dutch, Polish, Greek, Spanish and Italians to name but a few.

Food in Indonesia

How wide is Indonesia compared to the United States?
as wide as the United States from San Francisco to New York

Food in Indonesia

The 'typical' Indonesian meal might be described as being based on rice, with several savory side dishes of vegetable, fish or meat or poultry, accompanied by chilli-hot condiment or sambal, with peanuts, crackers (krupuk) or fried shallots to provide a crunchy contrast. In eastern Indonesia, where the natives are more influenced by Pacific islander cultures, the meals can be centered on other sources of carbohydrates such as sago and/or grain.
Indonesian island of Maluku is famed as "the Spice Island" also gave contribution on the introduction of native spices to Indonesian and global cuisine. The most popular dishes that originated in Indonesia are common across most of Asia. Popular Indonesian dishes such as satay, beef rendang, and sambals also favored in Malaysia and Singapore. Soy-based dishes, such as variations of tofu (tahu) and tempeh, are also very popular.

Indonesia

What is the most famous food export from Russia?

Caviar

Indonesia
The Republic of Indonesia is the largest peninsula in the world comprising 17,504 large and small tropical islands bordered with white sandy beaches, many still uninhabited and a number even still unnamed. It straddles the equator, situated between the continents of Asia and Australia and between the Pacific and the Indian Oceans. Indonesia has a total population of more than 215 million people from more than 200 ethnic groups.
Among the most well known islands are Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan (formerly Borneo), Sulawesi (formerly Celebes), the Maluku Islands (or better known as Moluccas, the original Spice Islands) and Papua. Bali “the world’s best island resort” has its enchanting culture, beaches, dynamic dances and music. But Indonesia still has many unexplored islands with grand mountain views, green rainforests to trek through, rolling waves to surf and deep blue pristine seas to dive in where one can swim with dungeons, dolphins and large manta rays.
Because of her location, and geology, Indonesia is glorified with the most diverse landscape. From fertile rice lands on Java and Bali to the luxuriant rainforests of Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi, to the savannah grasslands of the Nusatenggara islands to snow-capped peaks of West Papua. Home to over a quarter of the world's marine life, the Indonesian Archipelago is famous for its world class diving and exciting underwater beauty.

Food in Russia

Russia covers nearly twice as much of the earth as that of what next largest country?
Canada

Food in Russia

A very common main dish is a pelmeni: minced meat (typically beef or pork) or fish filling inside a very thin layer of dough that's poached in water. Other baked or fried alternatives are vareniky, which contains berries, potatoes or cheese curds rather than meat and pirozhki, small dough buns that are filled with fish, meat, cabbage or potato. Some heartier main dishes familiar to many in this country are beef stroganoff (beef mixed with sour cream) and Chicken Kiev (rolled chicken fillet filled with butter).
Baked piglet, stuffed with cooked kasha, mushrooms and onion and topped with cooked greens or pickled vegetables is a favorite Russian holiday meal. Some festive food also includes roasted goose garnished with baked sour-sweet apples, kasha, stewed cabbage and potatoes. I found it out of the ordinary that desserts often consist of fried cottage cheese, served with sour cream, pancakes topped with butter and jam and cake, which can range from moist to light and fluffy . Why not chocolate cake right?

Russia
Russia is well known for its vastness and also for its cities, namely Moscow, St. Petersburg and Murmansk. These cities are said to be known all over the world for its loveliness and allure. Whether you decide on a short history- and museum-heavy trip through Moscow and St Petersburg's cultural treasures, or a more wide-ranging trip that could include an almost endless list of destinations there is something for all. The mountains of the Caucasus, the beaches of the Black Sea, the vast Volga River, the endless tracts of Taiga in Siberia, magical Lake Baikal, and the volcanoes of Kamchatka are all major must haves on your itinerary.
It is hard to believe that Russia covers eleven time zones and two continents, and even extends up to 50 miles from North America. Within the immense expanses of Russia lies the largest freshwater lake in the world, rivers and woodlands swarming with fish and wildlife, splendid volcanoes, and mighty mountains.

Food in El Salvador

El Salvador is slightly smaller than what US State?
Massachusetts

Food in El Salvador
The cuisine of El Salvador is similar to that of its neighbors, with a strong reliance on indigenous foods like corn, beans, squash and tomatoes. The influence of Mayan culture is quite strong, mixed in with contributions from the Spanish kitchen. Pupusas, curtido & semita de piña, may be the most well known Salvadoran dishes.
Pupusas are similar to corn tortillas, only thicker and stuffed with cheese, beans or meat. The pupusa originated in El Salvador, but it is also popular in neighboring Honduras. Curtido is a simple cabbage salad traditionally served with pupas. Large jars of curtido are kept at restaurants and sides of the slaw are served with most meals. Curtido is usually allowed to simmer slightly at room temperature before serving, becoming a kind of Salvadoran sauerkraut. Cabbage salads are served through Central America. Semita, a popular pastry in El Salvador, is basically a tart of bread dough filled with jam or other rich fillings. Semita de piña, with a tasty pineapple filling, is a favorite. El Salvador

Which country shares the largest border with Norway?
Sweden

In what Norwegian city were the Winter Olympics held in 1952?
Oslo

El Salvador
El Salvador ('The Saviour' in Spanish) might be the smallest country in Central America, but it is said to be well worth exploring. Awed by marquee destinations such as Guatemala and Costa Rica, travelers tend to skip El Salvador. Being most known for museums and war memorials, pristine forests, active volcanoes and sparkling beaches El Salvador seems like a must on my list of places to visit.
This tiny tropical land is bursting with natural attractions, including the Cerro Verde National Park, the volcanic lakes of Ilopango and Coatepeque, and impressive beaches. Because El Salvador is so small, travelers are never far from the country’s Pacific beaches. The water is over eighty degrees on average, the wave breaks are perfect, and the sands are rarely crowded. Its not surprising to find out that surfers flock to El Salvador's beaches all year long -— the favorites are La Libertad, Las Flores, and Playa Herradura. The beaches of Costa del Sol and San Juan del Gozo are said to be better for non-surfers, boasting soft white sands and calmer waters. El Salvador also offers interesting archaeological sites from Maya civilization, and the Ruta de Las Flores which takes visitors to some of the prettiest villages and market towns.

Norway!

How many tons of ice are used to build the Ice Hotel every year?
10 000 tons of crystal clear ice from the ‘ice manufacturing plant'.

What are the Northern Lights also known as?
Aurora Boreas

Norway!
Norway is on a large peninsula shared with Sweden in the north of Europe. Norway is well known for its amazing and varied scenery. The fjords in the west of the country are long narrow harbor, adjacent on either side by tall mountains where the sea penetrates far inland. Norway is known as a land for nature lovers, with breathtaking fjords and glaciers, summer's midnight sun. Midnight sun in the north is awe striking. It starts appearing in the northernmost regions around end of May. Clearly, days are longer in summer, and it's a summer phenomenon! The midnight sun is when the sun does not set during the summer months. Given fair weather, you can see the sun for a continuous 24 hours.
There are opportunities to indulge in skiing, fishing and rock-climbing, while the less energetic can simply marvel at the beauty of the Norwegian countryside, with its countless steep-sided valleys, high mountain lakes and unforgettable views. In winter, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and snowboarding are very popular. In summer, hiking and biking are obvious ways to enjoy the enormous mountain areas. For the adventurous, kayaking, wild water rafting, paragliding, cave or glacier exploration are possible. You can also enjoy driving along the fjords and mountains in the west .

Sweden!!

The reason for the white sandy beaches is what?
white sandy beaches, which are an outcome of natural grinding down of dead coral.
What are the two major islands?
The two major islands of the country are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
Sweden!
Sweden is the largest of the Scandinavian countries and the fifth largest country in Europe but benefits from a fairly low population density which makes it seem like the perfect place to just get away from it all.The first thing that most people tend to notice is the astounding natural landscapes and the eternal summer days when the sun never sets in the North of the country.
Sweden is home to the original Ice Hotel. It is situated on the shores of the Torne River, in the old village of Jukkasjärvi in Swedish Lapland. Sweden's Ice Hotel is built from scratch every year. A new design, new suites, a brand new reception ,everything is new. The hotel sleeps over 100 guests, and every bedroom is unique. The hotel covers over 30,000 square feet and includes a Ice Chapel, the hotel itself, an ice art exhibition hall, a cinema and last but not least, the world famous ‘Absolute Ice Bar’.
From early evening to midnight, you can view the awesome phenomenon of the northern lights in most clear nights in the northern part of Sweden called Lapland or Norrbotten. Mystery and wonder shroud the northern lights, for they do not conform to a pattern nor perform on demand. They appear in many forms. They can be faint or elongated and bright. They can be pink, white, blue or most commonly green.
Sweden is not all about natural scenery, lakes and wildlife . The Stockholm area alone has 10 royal castles and many world class museums. Two other major cities in Sweden are Gothenburg and Malmo. Both cities have beautiful tree-lined streets, restaurants serving Swedish food, museums, shopping avenues, nightclubs and much more.
